Qualifying Broker, New Mexico West Properties

License #18140

I have been a licensed real estate broker in the state of New Mexico since 2005. My primary expertise has been rural land development, marketing and sales.

My family has been in the Quemado, NM area since the early 1900s, among the earliest settlers in the area. I have been a resident of Quemado for over 40 years with the exception of earning a BS degree from ENMU and serving my country in the US army for several years.

Because of my long-term connection to the area, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to provide assistance and insight for potential buyers wanting to move to the area and make the transition to rural living.

I was born in Gallup, NM, and raised right here in Quemado.  I grew up on a cattle ranch and spent many hours riding the land in northern Catron County and southern Cibola County.

I graduated from Quemado High School.  In college, I met and married my husband, Joseph Bond.  He became an officer in the U.S. Air Force, and we spent the next thirty years traveling the world.  Along the way, we had five fabulous children (and seven even more fabulous grandchildren).

One day I decided I had been away long enough and wanted to go home.  We moved back to the ranch in April of 2016.  I love New Mexico, the blue skies, amazing sunrises and sunsets, cool evenings, and the unbelievable starry nights.

In January 2019, I joined Jimmie Sue and Mike at New Mexico West Properties.  I love working with them and enjoy being in real estate.  My favorite thing is being able to assist a buyer in finding their perfect property.

I was born and raised in Central Texas where I worked on our family ranch. When I was sixteen, I got my first “paying” job at the local bank. After working at the bank for several years, I then worked on ranches and sold veterinarian supplies. Along the way, I earned a Bachelors of Education Degree.

My family and I moved to Catron County in 2008. In 2009, I purchased New Mexico West Properties and began selling real estate. Over the past years, I have gained valuable knowledge about selling real estate and extensive knowledge about Catron County and Cibola County.

I love the land and am glad to have an excuse to drive the back roads and be surrounded by this beautiful remote country. I love the community, schools, people, churches, and small town atmosphere. I thank God for leading my family to New Mexico. My father taught me that there may be times that all you have is your word, so it better be good. I strive to live by this and my Christian values. My goal is to assist my clients in finding their perfect, unique property and to glorify God in doing so.
